For over 80 years Bayonne, New
Jersey has been the home of Ideal Window Manufacturing, Inc.
What began as a one-man storefront operation has become a major
force in the window industry.
Irving Rogow founded Ideal
Venetian Blind in 1924. He sold venetian blinds by day and
manufactured them at night. Within a few years, he moved
his company to a larger location and by the mid 1930s
he employed over 100 people. In 1942, Mr. Rogow patented
an innovated venetian blind bracket that is still in use
today.
Gold Bond Inc. was established after World War
II for the express purpose of wholesaling venetian blind supplies.
In 1952 Gold Bond began manufacturing storm windows and doors.
Due to its huge success in the sale of these products, the
company changed its name to Ideal Aluminum Products.

In the mid 1950s Ideal entered the
aluminum awning market and by 1957 discontinued the venetian
blind business.
In 1972, 315,000 storm windows and doors
were produced. Also in 1972, Ideal entered the aluminum
replacement window business. Nine years later, Rogow
Window Manufacturing Company was established and vinyl
windows were manufactured on a limited basis until 1983.
In 1983 full-scale manufacturing of vinyl windows began
at a new facility on Kennedy Boulevard.
Today Ideal employs over 300 people and
continues to operate out of four Bayonne, New Jersey
locations. We have been and will continue to be a leader
in design, manufacturing and marketing of replacement
and new construction windows. We are proud of the fact
that we are selling windows to the children and grandchildren
of our original customers. It is not our goal to be the
biggest window manufacturer but to be the best at what
we do.

Ideal
works with their customers and develops products and
options that the dealers can use to improve their business
and increase their profit margins. It is Ideals
belief that we cannot grow and prosper without ensuring
that our customers do the same. It is Ideals
goal to continue as a leader in the window industry
for another 80 years.
